Tumi has managed to keep a firm footing as one of a handful of successful female comedians on the corporate and commercial scene. at festivals such as Heavyweights Comedy Jam, Blacks Only, Have a Heart, Just Because Comedy Festival, The Tshwane Comedy Festival, The Lifestyle SA Festival, Vodacom Funny Festival, Old Mutual Comedy Encounters and a one night stand with Bafunny Bafunny in Johannesburg. She was the only female among international and local acts at the 2009 Vodacom Funny Festival. One of the highlights of her career has been being apart of the 46664 It’s No Joke line-up.
In 2011 she had the honor of being part of the entertainment at the inaugural Comics Choice Awards, and was lauded as one of the highlights of the evening.
And also went on to receive an award for Entertainer of the Year in 2011, named one of Free States Icons, And also one of South Africa's Newsmakers of the year.
2012 saw Tumi perform her most successful One-Woman Show yet, at the Lyric Theatre in Goldreef City. Also, took part as an opening act for the Roast of Steve Hofmeyer
Also, a writer and burgeoning theatre director, Tumi has directed educational theatre for Arrep Theatre For Life, and written on a handful of SAFTA nominated shows.
And if she is not having babies, she can be found championing Women's Rights.
